Scandic to close Imatra’s Valtionhotel – owner seeks successor

Scandic’s lease at the Valtionhotel in Imatra expires at the end of August next year.

Hotel chain Scandic is pulling out of Imatra.

The company’s lease at Valtionhotel expires at the end of August 2025.

According to Tarkan, Scandic is constantly evaluating where to open new hotels and operations and when it is time to pull out.

Scandic has been in Imatra since 2018.

Pandox, a state hotel property owner, says in the release that he is looking for a solution to the continuation of hotel operations in the autumn.

Pandox is a Swedish company. It has about 160 hotel buildings in 11 countries. In Finland, the company owns hotel buildings in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area, Tampere, Jyväskylä and Kuopio in addition to the State Hotel.
