Cate Blanchett says she is quitting her acting career

Blanchett tells Radio Times that there are many things she wants to do with her life.

– My family roll their eyes every time I say this, but I really mean it. I’m serious about quitting acting. There are a lot of things I want to do with my life,” Blanchett says in an interview with Radio Times.

Blanchett, who hails from Australia, has won two Oscars in her career, as well as several Bafta, Golden Globe and SAG awards. She won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her 2014 film *Blue Jasmine.*

Blanchett’s best-known films include the *Lord of the Rings* trilogy, *The Aviator* and *Elisabeth*.
