Oompa Teacher, Grasshopper Doctor, Cabbage Curator and Bean Saviour – who will win the children’s elections in Lahti?
The elections organised at the Lahti Family Centre are part of the children’s education in democracy. The aim is to teach about the possibilities of influencing through play and cartoon characters.
The Lahti Family Centre was buzzing today as children got to experience what it’s like to vote in a purpose-built polling station.
The children of The Teddy Bear Daycare were among the first to arrive and were still in the queue to consider their nominee. Pictures of the four nominated cartoon characters could be found in several places in the space that had been specially built as a polling station.
The idea behind the Päijät-Häme Welfare Region has been to support children’s education in democracy and emphasise the importance of empowerment through play and cartoon characters.
Schools and kindergartens were inspired to vote electronically. Everyone was welcome to the Family Center Friday vote.
A family center visit or any other case in the family center may have found that he had been attracted to voting. The delivery was crowned by juice service.
The top three candidates
– We noticed that this is a familiar thing to us when we decide many things with the kids in kindergarten. Children tell their own opinions and understand that their own voice is important in election situations and in everyday life.
Cowell estimates that the top election will take place between the Omppu teacher, the Lanttu doctor and the bean rescuer.
– The only challenging for the children was the cabbage curator. The children did not really understand what the curator was. I bet the character does not, at least in our group, get terribly sound.
The result of children’s elections will be announced on 14 April. Voting electronically can be reached until Sunday with an electronic questionnaire, which can be found at \u003chttps://bit.ly/lassenvalit\u003e
