The controversial cruise ship leaves Mikkeli by the end of the month

Vinkeri II has spent the past winter at the Mikkeli Port Service Pier.

Roteling Vinkeri II will leave the Mikkeli service dock by the end of April. Then the lease agreement between the shipowner and the city of Mikkeli will end.

If the owner does not move the ship by the deadline, the city will move it to another location at his expense to wait for transportation.

The ship is expected to start cruising from Lahti Passenger Port 10.5.

Rusty Vinkeri II floated in the Joensuu passenger port for years unused and threatened to scrapping.

Last summer, the ship’s owner changed. Vinkeri II moved through Anttola to the Mikkeli Port Service Pier in September.

– The ship’s machines were used once a week and a small fixation was done inside.

Lahtinen promises the ship to leave the port by May.
