Koli village hotel closes for a month for maintenance in Lieksa
Planned maintenance work will start after Easter on 22 April. The hotel will open on 19 May.
The Sokos Hotel in the village of Koli will close its doors for a month for maintenance work in Lieksa.
Planned maintenance work will start after Easter on 22 April. The hotel will open on 19 May, shortly before the big cycling event in Koli.
According to the North-Karelia Cooperative, the closure of the hotel will not result in layoffs. Some of the staff will continue to work in the normally open Ylä-Kol hotel or in other PKO locations. Some employees will take the agreed annual leave.
The village hotel employs 40 professionals.
The Koli village hotel was opened on Midsummer’s Eve 2023. The hotel paid more than EUR 20 million.
