The Redemption Committee has taken decisions on landowners’ claims for compensation for the damage caused by the southern ring road.

The vast majority of claims by property owners for compensation for damage caused by the Lahti Southern Ring Road have been rejected.

Compensation has been awarded for damages such as noise, dust and landscape damage.

The redemption committee has held final meetings and dealt with the claims of both Lahti and Hollola property owners.

Approved compensation sums rise to tens of thousands of euros at most.

Compensation decisions are not yet legally binding, as they can be appealed to the county court.
