Bus driver robbed at knifepoint in Lahti – suspect still at large
The police are investigating the case as aggravated robbery.
A man who robbed a bus driver of money while driving in Lahti is still at large.
The Häme police are investigating the crime that took place on Friday afternoon, 14 March, as aggravated robbery.
According to the police, they are investigating the act as aggravated robbery, because the suspect used a bladed weapon, the act was committed against the bus driver and it is also considered to be aggravated as a whole.
The man suspected of the crime rose from the bus stop in front of the Paavola shopping center. During the trip, the man began to behave inappropriately towards other passengers, and in Mukkula, the bus driver asked the man to leave the bus.
The suspect was left out of the bus at the stop at the intersection of Karjusaarentie and Kilpiäentie.
Police have not yet caught the suspect. In the bulletin on their website, Häme police are asking for findings related to robbery.
