Häme’s private roads are in the worst condition in Finland
According to the Forest Centre’s survey, almost half of the private roads in Häme need urgent maintenance.
Around a third of Finland’s private roads need urgent maintenance or upgrading, says the Finnish Forestry Centre.
Private roads are in the worst condition in Kanta- and Päijät-Häme and Uusimaa. In these regions, almost half of the roads have been assessed as being in poor condition.
The Finnish Forestry Agency has mapped the condition of private roads and their bridges in Finland in 2020-2024.
A total of about EUR 1.3 billion is the repair debt of the private network.
Bridges on private roads are in good condition
The mapping does not determine what the lower than average in Häme is.
In addition to their use and consumption, the condition of the roads is influenced, among other things, to the construction and maintenance of roads.
According to Pisto, it is a good idea for the roads to be on their own road to make observations of its potential deficiencies.
\”Based on this mapping, the road or an excavator cannot yet be brought to the road, but the roads have to go to the needs themselves,\” says Pisto.
According to the fitness survey, the condition of private road bridges in Häme is good-even the best in Finland in Päijät-Häme. More than 90 % of the bridges in the province were good and satisfactory bridges.
