Linda Lampenius has focused on classical music in recent years, but is now making a return to pop music.

The violinist got a whole new boost in his career after performing at UMK in early February.

A month ago, the violinist was seen in the interim issue of YLE’s New Music competition, along with five other female artists.

Among other things, Lampenius played the violin with dancers supported in the spaghetti and head down:

The audience had been sold. Lampenius was in the headlines for a long time and after the show, gigs have been raining in all directions.

The confusion of Lampenius is special in that sense, as he has experienced the same before. He originally rose to the spotlight at the 1996 Jussi Gala when he was a concertmaster of the Sibelius Academy Orchestra. The spectacular violin tag became a celebrity through TV and his career took him abroad.

According to Lampenius, the recent performance in UMK seemed magical.

– As I walked in, love and warmth for me exuded the audience.

Lampenius, 55, is a role model for the younger generation. As an artist in classical music, he dared to do pop music and perform boldly, which was once exceptional.

– They told me how much I did for them that they can do things today.

Since UMK, messages from young singers have been flooded with messages on Lampenius’ Instagram account, where they call the violinist in the word Queen, or Queen.

– Is this Tantta now a queen of these young artists? I don’t choose any, if so, Lampenius laughs.

– It’s wonderful to be busy again. I love my job because my passion is music, says Linda Lampenius.

“Erika is really brave”

On Monday after the UMK victory, Erika Vikman was seen in all interviews in a t-shirt with Linda Lampenius’ picture.

Lampenius took this as a great tribute. He sees that they are similar artists in many ways.

Just the Vikman *ICH Kemme *presentation reminds the violinist when he performed his *Violator *song on a black PVC suit. The attitude is the same.

– I had the idea that the woman must be strong. The woman must say what she wants and the woman must dress as she wants. And it must not influence how a man treats a woman and will be touched.

– Erika is on a completely different level. He’s really brave. Personally, I wouldn’t dare to do the same today, and I wouldn’t have dared before.

After UMK, Vikman received a lot of burst of his performance about sexuality. Lampenius was heard from the same in the 90s.

– Much has changed in thirty years, but still some people react in the same way as at that time.

Chauvinistic 90s

Lampenius remembers how grossly he was treated.

– It was absolutely horrible. At that time, television was all the time chauvinistic.

“Ladies and gentlemen and especially gentlemen. He’s here today, but unfortunately in full dresses. ”

However, Lampenius says that there is no reason for the treatment Sarasvuo. It was only allowed at that time.

– If someone introduced a stranger to the talk show like that now, it would be so big a halo that the person would be fired the same night.

In addition to the appearance, attention was paid to the age of women. Lampenius recalls that when he left the conquest of America at the age of 27, Linda Bravana, he lied to his age.

-I had to lie in all interviews that I was 23 years old. It was a maximum age that could be mentioned.

Pamela Anderson has also risen again and received new appreciation. He has acted in the movie * The Last Showgirl * and has appeared in public.

Lampenius visited Anderson’s starring *Baywatch *series, but only met this once.

– It really wasn’t such that we are talking to some Bimbo now. She was friendly and looked like a really smart and intelligent woman.

The Finn has followed Anderson’s return to the spotlight.

– He knows what things in life make it happy.

– There is no better music than opera. After that, chamber music comes or it is almost level with the opera, says Linda Lampenius.

Return to pop music

Classical music has been an important part of his life since childhood.

Lampenius was moved when he saw himself leading the orchestra in YLE’s *Violin Visit *at the age of 8 in 1979:

Last year, Lampenius began to feel like he wanted to return to pop music as well. From UMK, he got a taste of ordering it.

– After UMK, there were so many gig deals that it went on the bike.

-I will do at least the *Violator *song that was so excited at the time. This strong woman does it in the same way, but there is a little new.
