A total of 19.8 million air travelers went to Finnish airports last year, says Statistics Finland.

According to Statistics Finland, a total of 19.8 million passengers in 2024, which is 7 % more than in 2023. There were about 16 million passengers on international flights. Approximately 3.8 million people traveled on domestic flights last year.

On international flights, the number of passengers increased by 8 % and in domestic flights by 4 %.

Overall, passenger numbers are lagging behind the time before the corona pandemia. For example, a quarter of less people passed through Helsinki-Vantaa last year than in 2019. However, airports increased in Rovaniemi, Kittilä, Ivalo and Enontekiö.
