A toilet worth millions of euros was stolen – the thieves were caught on CCTV

The toilet seat was real gold. Donald Trump also has a connection to the seat.

Three people are on trial in the UK for stealing and selling a rare and valuable toilet seat.

A toilet seat made of real gold was stolen from Blenheim Palace near Oxford in 2019, with an insured value of £4.8 million, or around €5.8 million, according to the BBC.

According to the prosecutor, the theft lasted only a few minutes. Two cars were driven through the locked gates of the palace in the early hours of Saturday 14 September 2019. Surveillance footage shows men in hoods with crowbars and sledges emerging from the cars.

This week, the right of the palace employee has been heard in court. He was present at night during the theft. The employee says he has heard two hard bumps.

\”First I thought the boiler exploded,\” the employee said in his statement, according to the BBC.

A few minutes later, a gold toilet seat was carried one of the cars. After that, the cars quickly left the palace yard.

Three defendants have denied having committed a crime. In the past, one person has admitted that he has committed a burglary.

The bowl was never found. Thieves are believed to have chopped and sold less than a hundred kilos.
