ES: Exemptions have been granted in Luumäe to remove worm castings

Dog diseases are confirmed by a sample of wolf faeces.

DNA tests have revealed that there have been dog pockets in Luumäki.

Luumäki has been granted three derogations to remove worm castings, reports Etelä-Saimaa.

The derogations have been granted by the Finnish Game Centre. The permits are valid until the end of March.

Verified by samples

The Finnish Wildlife Agency issues permits for the felling of wolves, as the wolf is an invasive alien species that threatens the genetic integrity of wolves.

Southern Saimaa says that DNA samples have ensured that Luumäki has moved minerals.

The exemptions have also been granted in Joutseno, Miehikkälä and Hamina. There, too, confirmation of dogs has been obtained with DNA samples.
