Disney has created the content warnings of their classic films

The changes reflect the company’s new strategy on DEI.

Disney has changed its content warnings. Previously, both animated films were found to contain “negative depictions and/or mistreatment of people and nations”.

Disney began to add content warnings to his fictional classic animations in 2019. They emphasized that films are shown in their original form and containing outdated descriptions of cultures.

Content warnings were tightened by works such as stereotypes that \”were once wrong and that are wrong now\”.

* For example, for the Beauty and the Kulkuri* Animation (1955), the warning concerned the scene where the Chihuahua, which is a Mexican dog breed, speaks English with a Spanish accent. In addition, according to Disney, it is stereotypical and problematic that the Russian Greyhound, which is a Russian dog breed, speaks English in the animation with Russian accent.

Through content warnings, Disney, according to his own words, wanted to \”raise discussion to create a more participatory future together\”.

Dei hasn’t worked

In the 2020s, Disney has entered into a force for Dei work, that is, supporting diversity, equality and inclusion, and political correctness.

In 2022, the information spread to the public that Disney wanted to make sure that at least half of the characters in the films and series it produced would represent sexual, sexual or racial minorities. The line did not work: almost half of the company’s market value disappeared.

Disney’s latest output has not been success stories and they have aroused anger but also to wonder. The 2022 *Lightyear *cartoon was banned in most Muslim countries because it saw a kiss between two women. The film has lost about EUR 100 million to the company.

However, there are already seven short -stroke animated characters.
