Surprise surprise: Pate Mustajärvi returns to the stage with the Popeda juggernauts

Popeda’s second album turns 45 today. To celebrate, Pate Mustajärvi announced a surprise gig.

– Today marks the 45th anniversary of the Raswa on board! album. To celebrate it, we – me, Eebo Lehtinen, Jatsi Puukka and Holm’s Kaitsu – are going to go on one last gig together, he wrote on his Instagram account.

The special concert in Tampere Olympia on 6 June will feature all the songs from the album, “supplemented by a couple of bonfires from the era”, Mustajärvi writes.

Raswa on board! is Popeda’s second studio album, released on 19 February 1980. The album features several Popeda classics such as “Da Da” and “Raswa to the Machine”.

The album is also topical other than its date of publication. Mustajärvi previously wrote in the Message Service X that the sale of the album has gone a lot from the old gold record limit. During the release of the album, it was 25,000.
