Major film Bafta awards go to Conclave and The Brutalist

David’s drama Conclave took the Best Film trophy. The Brutalist, about a Holocaust survivor, was awarded for Best Director, among other things.

As expected, the drama films *Conclave* and *The Brutalist* took the lion’s share of the top prizes at the Bafta Film Awards in the UK on Sunday night. Both took home four trophies.

*Conclave*, about the election of the new Pope, won the Best Film award for Editing and Adapted Screenplay. It was also awarded Best British Film. *Conclave* had the highest number of Bafta nominations, 12 in total.
