The repair bots will hit Hausjärvi, Lammi and Asikkala. Parliament has also added other transport-related projects in Häme to the list.

Money is coming out of the state budget to repair small roads in Häme.

In Asikkala, the Viitalantie road is about to receive €400 000 for rehabilitation. The road runs between the villages of Viitaila and Kurhila and has sections in very poor condition.

The renovation of Kalliontie in Hausjärvi and Sankolantie in Lammi are also getting money from next year’s state budget. Parliament has allocated €550 000 for the repair of the very poor condition of Hausjärvi Kalliontie and €300 000 for the renovation of Sankolantie.

Extension to the shipping lane and a light traffic route to Lope

As for Päijät-Häme, the budget will also include 100,000 euros for the planning of the highway 24 exit in Holma, Lahti. The state finances the extension of the southern Päijänne shipping lane to the guest port of Lehmonkärje with 100,000 euros.

EUR 200,000 was awarded for the design of the light traffic route between Lopen Launosten and Riihimäki. The purpose of the light traffic route is to improve safety, as cyclists and pedestrians now travel along the side of the stretch of national road 54.

Planning money for the heavy transport service area

The planning of the heavy traffic service area for Janakkala’s Rastikkanka and Hämeenlinna’s Moreen business area continues with the help of the state. Parliament has allocated 200,000 euros to the state budget for next year for planning the so-called HCT service area.

The area would also serve longer and heavier trucks than usual, i.e. high-capacity transports. A large business center is coming to the intersection of highway three and highway ten, part of which is the heavy traffic service area.
