In addition to the main and sideline jusses, the gala will be awarded to the actors in the Ensemble and Year breakthrough series of the year.
There have been two changes to the actress series: The Ensemble Prize for the Year will be awarded to the actor line -up and the Breakthrough of the Year award will be given to the actor who made his debut on the screen or has raised his acting career to a new level. Visual effects also get their own Jussi series.
The Finnish film did well in exceptionally well in 2024. They were watched 2.1 million times. The most audience was *Myrskyluoto’s Maija *, *Creditor movie: All in *and *Yes Daddy’s Movie *.
The Jussi Gala will be held on March 21 at the Helsinki Cable Factory. The prizes are awarded by Filmiara, Film Professional Association. The Jussi Award is reportedly the oldest film prize in Europe.
