On the hotel front of Tampere: an entrepreneur familiar with Pirkkala’s Hidden Hotel coming to Hämeenkatu
A new hotel is coming to the parish house at the top of Hämeenkatu. The premises are now undergoing a renovation that will last for the summer.
A new hotel entrepreneur is coming to the parish house on Hämeenkatu in Tampere. The hotel company Uhanka will be responsible for the hotel operations.
The Evangelical Lutheran congregation of Tampere has signed a long 17-year lease with Uhhanda. The matter is revealed in the congregation’s bulletin.
Yle said in October that Pirkkala has tried to stop the accommodation business he deemed unauthorized in the apartment block.
According to the municipality, a newer apartment building in Pirkkala Solo has been used for short -term leasing, which is contrary to the existing town plan and the granted building permit. In October, Kontinen commented to Yle that the activity had not been against the rules.
Uhanta also has hotels in Järvenpää, Raisio and Kangasala. In addition to Pirkkala, it leases apartments in Espoo, Turku, Tampere and Vantaa.
A renovation has started on the hotel premises on Hämeenkatu, which will be completed in mid -July.
The Tampere parishes had previously a Forenom Hotel. Its lease ended at the end of last year.
Yle did not reach Konti to comment on the hotel project.
