Särkänniemi landscape starts: Now the preparation of the Särkäs Bridge is starting

The transformation of the Särkänniemi landscape begins: the preparatory work for the Särkänsilla bridge is now starting

The Särkänsilta bridge branches in two directions: one leads to the entrance of the amusement park, and the other goes towards Näsinneula and the Sara Hildén Art Museum and the new destinations in their vicinity.
The construction of the Särkän bridge will begin with the fencing of the construction site, the felling of trees and the construction of a temporary working bridge. A visual image of what the future bridge would look like when finished.

In the future, Särkänniemi amusement park will be transported along a new roach bridge. The bridge site as a whole lasts less than two years.

In Tampere, the upheaval of the Mustanlahti port and the Särkänniemi area is progressing.

A temporary working bridge is now being built over Kortelahti, which will enable the actual construction of the Särkän bridge.

Construction work on the work bridge will begin this week. A separate construction site is fenced to the Mustanlahti harbor during the bridge work.

The work bridge does not resemble a ready -made roach bridge. It will be dismantled as soon as the section above the bridge water is completed.

The bridge site as a whole lasts less than two years. According to current information, the Särkäns Bridge will open for foot in the summer of 2026.

According to the city’s press release, in the coming summer, amusement park visitors and users of Mustanlahti port will be taken into account in the temporary routes. They will be announced in more detail in the spring, when the work progresses.

Branches in two directions

In the future, the amusement park will be accessed via the new Särkänsilta.

The finished Särkäns bridge forks in two directions: one takes the entrance to the amusement park, the other is heading towards Näsinnela and Sara Hildén Art Museum.

In November, Yle also told about the new arena planned for the dolphinarium.

The bridge plan has also attracted opposition because it would make it difficult for old passenger ships to move in the port. The appearance of Särkänsilla has changed to be lighter than intended.
