Two roe deer slipped on the ice for three days – see photos of the rescue operation

The cottage was alerted for help with the Capricorn on Saturday. The rescue service got the animals on the beach, but the other’s feet were in such poor condition that it had to be stopped.

The cottager noticed at the end of the week how two roe deer were slipping on the ice of the lake in Hirvensalmi’s Ryökäsvedi.

He followed the animal situation and when on Saturday it seemed that the animals could not get away on his own, he alerted the rescue service.

The rescue service found animals on Saturday morning about a kilometer from the beach. The deer had fallen on the ice, and the holes did not keep the animals upright.

One of the deer had not offended itself, so the rescue service helped \”Bambin\” up and delivered safely to the beach. According to the rescuers, the animal started to look good to continue its journey towards less slippery forest paths.

One of the animals had injured its hind legs so badly that they could no longer carry. It is reported from the rescue service that a hunter assisting with big game was called to the scene, who killed the animal for animal welfare reasons.
