All the UMK songs are out now – two clear favourites with the public
Based on the reactions, this year’s UMK favourites are Erika Vikman and One Morning Left.
On YouTube, it has attracted around 150 000 views and over 1 250 comments in just 13 hours. That’s a lot.
With its shock effect, the song lives up to the promise of its name: it has everything and it has nothing. The hook in the chorus of the chorus is understated and even annoyingly simple. Towards the end it picks up speed like one of those old German films.
Most importantly, the song sharply divides opinion. Some foreign fans have declared *Ich Kommen* the winner of the whole Eurovision Song Contest, while others can’t stand it.
– This is a real Chisu song and I’m here for it!
– As a German, I accept this, says another commenter.
The most liked comment points out this year’s Eurovision number, which is rare for Vikman’s song.
– The artists are taking the 69th Eurovision Song Contest in a new direction.
Puppy dogs to the World Cup?
Judging by the reactions, Vikman’s biggest challenger is the metal fun *Puppy* served by the band One Morning Left.
The surprising and catchy song has been started on YouTube more than 270,000 times in a couple of days and it has collected more than 2,100 comments.
– Shout the words cute, lovely and puppy at the top of your lungs. There’s something about it, one user states in the YouTube comments of the song.
– What is this, the other wonders, written in capital letters, and answers to himself:
– I forgot that we are talking about Finland.
Nickname bored Swede hopes to hear *Puppy* at Eurovision in the spring.
Nelli Matula’s personal radio hit
Pre-favorite status does not mean that the game has been played for other songs. It has been proven many times before.
– The more I hatch this, the better it sinks! Awesome, Neea, one commenter cheers.
– I myself struggle with an incurable disease and there is no rush for anything anymore. This song made me feel good, and I fell in love with it. Thank you for this wonderful song, one commenter writes.
“I cried right after the first chorus”
The song’s smoothly progressing chorus reminds many of previous releases. The melody has been compared at least to the choruses of Aknestik’s *Suomirockki* song and Sunrise Avenue’s *Hollywood Hills*.
As a youth favorite, Costeek can also surprise you.
– I think this is a dark horse. I personally like the fact that the song consists of different types of parts. Kertsi is catchy, says the song’s Youtube comments.
Youtube comments praise the song’s interpretation and lyrics.
– I don’t understand the language, but I cried immediately after the first chorus. Her voice is really beautiful and I can’t get the song out of my head. I have been singing \”always, always, always\” all day.
– As a Dutchman, I don’t understand Finnish, but I knew every word he sang, the other writes.
The Kuvattelija moniker has found the core of the song celebrating lifelong partnership:
– And if you ever have to see the day when the memories disappear from my head. Instant Tears (immediate drop in the lens).
Some fans wish the world would go for quality pop
On YouTube, *Made Of* has collected 182,000 views and almost 800 comments in a couple of days.
– Now please break that humor song pipeline and join an artist of a truly international level to see what is enough, one commenter writes and refers, among other things, to last year’s selection of Windows95man.
– Gorgeous Goldielocks! My favorite this year. I hope we don’t go to the flap line again, when we can send something of such high quality and inspiring to the world, another writes.
*The matter was corrected on 17.1. at 16:34: Keira attended UMK in 2023, not last year.*
