Hoosianna sambat at St. Paul’s Church in Helsinki – vicar Kari Kanala: Our \”company’s\” quality promise is Welcome

At the same time, Jouluradio’s 20th anniversary was celebrated at Samba.

Today we celebrate the first Advent and sing *Hosanna*.

In the St. Paul’s Church in Helsinki, *Hoosianna* was sung to the rhythm of samba, and the procession leaving the service also saw dancers dressed in traditional samba clothes. During the service, *Hosanna* was also sung in a more traditional way.

At the same time, it was Jouluradio’s 20th anniversary service. The joint Christmas radio of the Evangelical-Lutheran congregations of the capital region today has different channels for different styles of music.

Christmas Radio’s quality promise is to play *Hoosianna* as soon as the clock turns to the first Sunday of Advent.

At the end of the service, this year’s version of *Hoosianna* was also heard on television. It was made by the music students of Metropolia University of Applied Sciences.

The first Sunday of Advent starts the new church year and the preparation for Christmas. *Hosanna*, the first verse of the hymn book, is then sung in all Evangelical Lutheran churches in Finland.

The time of the Most Beautiful Christmas Carols also begins with the first Advent. They will be sung for the 50th time this year.

The service from St. Paul’s Church shown by Yle TV1 can be watched and listened to in full on Areena.
