A private nature reserve will be established in Kuhmo. The object to be pacified is located in Kuhmo between Lake Lammasjärvi and Lake Iso-Kupsunen. The area of \u200b\u200bthe protected area is 40.9 hectares.
Schroderus states that the site’s location complements the network of protected areas in the Kuhmo region.
The protected area is implemented as part of the gift of nature campaign. The campaign is nationwide and will last until the end of 2022.
During the campaign, the hectares protected by private individuals and companies are added together, and the state protects a corresponding amount from its own lands.
