The Marjatta and Eino Koll foundation made a large donation to the University of Helsinki – the Lahti campus also receives a share

The donation funds research related to wood construction.

The Marjatta and Eino Koll foundation has made a million dollar donation to the University of Helsinki.

Most of the donation will be allocated to the Hyytiälä Living Lab project of the Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry. The project examines the overall sustainability of wooden construction and the welfare and health effects of wooden construction.

Research is carried out at Lahti University Campus, Viikki Campus in Helsinki and Hyytiälä Forest Station.
