The proposal for the restructuring programme reached the district court on the last possible deadline. The district court will start considering the proposal from next week.

A restructuring plan proposal for the restructuring of the railway company Kymi Ring has today been submitted to the Päijät-Häme District Court. The original deadline for submitting the proposal was the end of October, but Kymi Ring Oy was granted a three-week extension.

Kymi Ring Oy filed for corporate restructuring in July. The company has debts totalling almost €25 million. The largest creditors are A. Ahlström Kiinteistöt Oy, WS Finance Oy, Nordea Bank Oyj and Lahti Events, the event company of the City of Lahti.

Kymi Ring’s difficulties have also put Lahti Events in financial straits.

Kymi Ring Events Oy, a subsidiary of the Iitti railway company, was declared bankrupt by the decision of the Päijät-Häme District Court on November 1st.
