Muhox will host the fourth edition of the Lemmenpolu light event on Saturday. The light event near the Leppiniemi power plant will be continued in the future.
\- We are all looking for the light within and now in this dark season, it benefits everyone to learn to look for that light within.
Mari Kämäräinen also sees a positive side to the current energy crisis.
\- In a way, there is something positive about this situation, that we are learning to live with less. That in itself feels good. Of course, it’s a pity that it has to be done.
\\- The topic of energy arouses emotions, but no matter what kind of municipal operation it is, it consumes energy. And I would say that this event of ours consumes electricity relatively moderately, even compared to indoor activities. It has been wonderful that we have received a lot of inquiries that there will be Lempparit again.
\\- One of the purposes of this project is to bring an electricity connection to the area, so that we can better electrify this light event in the future. A new power line has been built here by Karuna, which has caused a little disturbance to the landscape. We also intend to clear the hill below the power line and add a parking area to this area.
The area of \u200b\u200bthe Lemmenpolu valot event is a hiking route with a demanding classification, so the audience is also expected to have appropriate equipment for the topic. The organizers hope that the public will also use a flashlight or phone light on the route.
