Central Ostrobothnia Book Fair brings together a distinguished roster of writers to Kokkola

Among others, Raija Oranen, who published a novel about Gösta Serlacius in the autumn, will take to the interview stage.

The second edition of the event has been put together by local activists working on a voluntary basis.

For the second time, the Central Ostrobothnian Book Fair brings together a distinguished group of writers in Kokkola.

The event will take place a week later, on 19.11. at the Old Tulip Bake House.

There will be twenty exhibitors from large and small publishing houses, as well as self-published authors. There will also be book sales on site. Admission to the event is free. The programme is available in Finnish and Swedish

This year, the fair has also cooperated with schools. Some of the authors also visit schools.

On the other hand, Anne Englund, originally from Kokkola, published her first novel Lautapalttoo in the fall. It describes human life and ways of dealing with death in Ostrobothnia and Helsinki in the 1930s.

In addition, the fair will also allow you to hear about the productions of fantasy writer Magdalena Hai and Christina Korkman and Maria Turtschaninoff.

In the summer, Korkman published a novel set in Kokkola and Kruunutovy, which describes the life of a young girl in the area a hundred years ago.
