A chairlift for six people will be completed in Pudasjärvi Iso-Syötte during the summer – it has been planned for several years
The new lift will be completed at the end of August. The project will employ seven people for this summer.
Finland’s southernmost fells, the Iso-Syötte ski resort, will get a six-person chairlift at the end of August.
During the summer, around 60 truckloads of lift parts will arrive from the Leitner factory in Italy. They will be assembled in the ski resort car park and transported to the slope for installation.
– I believe it will extend the days of the customers’ calculations, as they will be able to rest in between and calculate better. We hope to be selected for international customers as well.
The total cost of the chair lift is EUR 7.5 million and will rotate when it is completed in the summer. The project is partial funded by the European Union. The development allowance was awarded by the ELY Center in Northern Ostrobothnia.
– This is not a cheap investment. We have been raising cash for years to invest. We got involved in the EU support program, so now was the time to finally get involved in the investment, says Terentjeff.
The chair lift does not replace existing anchor lifts, but is built new between the front slope and the family slope. The opening ceremony will be held on August 30.
